Visiting Professorship Program at Nürtingen-Geislingen University
Dr. Konrawan Rattanaburi from Walailak University, Thailand, has successfully completed her three-week appointment as a KSK Visiting Professor at Nürtingen-Geislingen University (NGU), Germany, from April 1 to April 20, 2025. Her participation in this prestigious program, supported by the Educational Foundation of Kreissparkasse Esslingen-Nürtingen, represents a meaningful step toward deepening international academic collaboration between the two institutions.
As part of NGU’s commitment to internationalization, Dr. Rattanaburi shared her expertise in marketing, consumer behavior, and social responsibility through a series of engaging lectures. She addressed social challenges in Thailand such as child poverty and domestic violence, connected to the semester theme “SOS Children’s Villages.” She also brought fresh Thai perspectives to Marketing Research and shared real-world case studies in Principles of Marketing. At NGU’s Geislingen Campus, she provided insights into Thailand’s current financial situation.
A key highlight of her visit was the production of a podcast titled “Donation’s Market in Thailand – SOS Children’s Villages – Social Engagement,” recorded at KSK Esslingen on April 16. The podcast examined Thailand’s donation culture and highlighted grassroots efforts that support vulnerable communities—reinforcing NGU’s values of community engagement and global citizenship.
Dr. Rattanaburi also joined academic networking events, including the “Nürtingen Talks on International Management,” which encouraged rich exchanges on international marketing strategies. She had the opportunity to meet with the university’s rector, who presented her with the official KSK Visiting Professorship Certificate in recognition of her contribution.
This visit aligns with Walailak University’s staff mobility program and broader internationalization goals. Dr. Rattanaburi’s presence not only enriched classroom discussions but also inspired global thinking across disciplines, contributing to both institutions’ missions to cultivate cross-cultural understanding and sustainable development.
