April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work

🛡️ April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work 🛠️

Because “safety” is not just about equipment — it is a fundamental right for everyone in the workplace. 🌍

This important day, established by the International Labour Organization (ILO), aims to raise global awareness about the importance of preventing workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and to promote a lasting culture of safety and health at work.

✨ Everyone has a role to play — whether you are an employer, employee, or a member of the public. Every awareness and every preventive action helps to save lives.

📌 Let’s work together to:
✔️ Create safe working environments
✔️ Promote safety training and education
✔️ Raise awareness, communicate, and care for those around us
✔️ Pay attention to warning signs that could lead to danger

At Walailak University, we place great importance on the safety of our staff and students. We regularly organize training programs on workplace safety and accident prevention to build awareness and encourage safe behavior across the campus.

As a result, the number of workplace accidents at Walailak University from 2023 to 2025 has decreased by more than 50%, reflecting the strong collaboration and commitment of all sectors in creating a lasting culture of safety.

Because we believe…
“Safety is the foundation of development, and every life is priceless.”
